Name Change
We are pleased to inform you that the joint venture between Voith and Siemens will continue under a new name.
As of April 2009, Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation will become the short and concise Voith Hydro.
When the joint venture was established in April 2000, Siemens made its name available for a limited period. This time period has now come to an end; however, we can assure you that the change of name is the only change to our company. Siemens will continue to hold a 35% share in the joint venture. Over the last few years, this very successful joint venture positioned the company as a leading solution-provider in the field of hydroelectric power.
In the future, therefore, we will continue along the path we have started - but under a new name. Voith Hydro is and will continue to be the successful joint venture that has substantially expanded its competencies over the recent years establishing it as the market leader.
